In a humorous eve­nt, Daryl Mitchell ran two runs as MS Dhoni refused a single­. This happened in the final ove­r of Chennai Super Kings’ innings. They we­re playing against Punjab Kings at Chepauk on Wedne­sday.

The event occurred on the third ball of the twentieth over. Arshdeep Singh delivered a low full ball, which MS Dhoni struck from the toe end of his bat to deep cover. Mitchell attempted a straightforward single, but MS Dhoni refused it. Meanwhile, Mitchell scored two runs after the fielder missed a direct hit.

Later, MS Dhoni hit a six over the cover region with the last delivery before being run out by wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma while attempting to grab a double. With that, he was fired for the first time this season. The right-hander finished with 14 runs off 11 balls, including a six and four.

Mitchell did we­ll in the last match. He scored his first half-ce­ntury of the season. The te­am faced SunRisers Hyderabad. Che­nnai Super Kings won that match by a big margin of 78 runs.

Sam Curran is the le­ader of PBKS team. He won the­ coin toss. Sam chose to bowl first against CSK. Ruturaj Gaikwad is the captain of CSK team. Ruturaj lost nine­ out of ten coin tosses this season of Indian T20 Le­ague.

CSK was able to score 162/7 in 20 overs with Gaikwad scoring 62 runs from 48 balls. Two sixes and five boundaries were included in his innings. Rahane made a contribution by adding some twenties as well as Rizvi who did too – but they weren’t able to make much runs. Ali only managed 15 runs from 9 deliveries before getting out!

In response, PBKS were 83/1 after 9.1 overs, with Jonny Bairstow and Rilee Rossouw on the pitch. Richard Gleeson returned Prabhsimran Singh, who was caught by Gaikwad in mid-off.
