Bumrah Roasts Reporter Who Called Him Medium Pacer: Jasprit Bumrah is enjoying every bit of his captaincy in Perth. The ‘fast bowler’ sat in front of the reporters and faced questions with confidence in a typical Bumrah way.
The pace sensation was appointed as India’s captain for the first Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which is about to start in Perth on November 21
Bumrah Roasts Reporter Who Called Him Medium Pacer
Ahead of the match, Bumrah gave an interview to the press in which a journalist asked a question: “How does it feel to captain India as a medium pace all-rounder?”
Bumrah didn’t entertain the ‘medium pace’ usage and responded quickly just like how he does it in the field
“yaar, I can bowl 150kmph, at least you say fast bowler captain (laughs).”
Talking about the captaincy style, Bumrah decided to disregard both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s way of leading the squad.
“It is an honor. I have my own style. Virat was different; Rohit was different. and I have my own way. It is a privilege. I don’t take it as a position. I love taking responsibility, I spoke with Rohit earlier. But I got a little bit of clarity on leading the side after coming in here.”
The stand-in-captain sent a strong warning to the Australian side saying that India is very well prepared, better than the last time in which India ended up bagging the series.
“We are very well prepared because we came here early. We got some time to spend at WACA. A lot of youngsters are coming here for the first time. But when we came here for the first time, we got less time than this, and we ended up winning the series. We always believe and have confidence in our side.
“Whenever we play, whatever the situation might be, so, yes, in terms of preparations, we are in a very good place. And then now it’s all about being mentally switched on, and we are looking to do that, and hopefully things will fall into place.”
Virat Kohli has been getting a lot of limelight considering his GOAT status and his amazing statistics on Australian soil. Bumrah warned the Kangaroos that Virat is looking sharp in the nets
“I made my debut under Virat Kohli, he’s a leader in the team. He’s one of the greatest. He’s the utmost professional we have in our team, I don’t wanna jinx, but he was looking sharp in the nets”.
