Mayank Agarwal, an Indian cricket player, posted some photos from his Agartala hospital bed and gave an update on his health. This 32 years old ended up in the hospital after feeling unwell during a recent flight.
Agarwal was in Agartala with his Karnataka team for a Ranji Trophy game against Tripura. The squad’s next destination was New Delhi to play against the Railways. On the flight, Agarwal mistakenly drank a liquid from a packet, assuming it was water. He soon reported feeling ill.
Quickly, they took him to the hospital. He’s doing fine now, and he shared these images on Instagram with the caption below:
“I am feeling better now. Gearing to comeback. Thank you for prayers, love and support, everyone!”
Many admirers hoped for Agarwal’s swift recovery in the comments section. His wife posted a heart in the comments, while his Karnataka teammate Vijaykumar Vyshak said the following:
“Get well soon manki bhai.”
Mayank Agarwal’s Ranji Trophy participation in doubt
In Ranji Trophy 2023/24’s first four matches, Agarwal led Karnataka as captain. Yet, his chance to play in the following match against Railways seems slim. The game, set for a February 2 start at Surat’s Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, may proceed without him.
He hopes to be fully fit before his team faces Tamil Nadu. This match kicks off February 9 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. With two victories from four games, Karnataka tops the Elite Group C leaderboard. If they keep this up, a place in the knockout stage could be theirs.
