On Saturday, February 3, during the second day of the second Test between India and England in Vizag, Jasprit Bumrah demonstrated impressive skill with the ball. The remarkable bowler knocked out Jonny Bairstow, sending him back. In the process, England encountered loss, giving up five wickets for 159.

Let’s take a closer look at Bairstow’s turn. It happened during the 36th over of England’s secondary innings. Bumrah tossed a longer ball. Bairstow, a right-handed player, attempted to swing it away, but the ball didn’t cooperate. Instead, it went off on its own path. Shubman Gill, positioned at the first slip, caught the ball as it strayed. This sequence totaled up to Bairstow’s fourth time losing his wicket to Bumrah in Test cricket.

Bumrah had already removed Joe Root before unleashing a stunning yorker that brought back in-form Ollie Pope, who had scored 196 in the first Test in Hyderabad. The speedster had earlier taken six wickets in the first Test on a spin-friendly ground.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a superb double ton. Then, Jasprit Bumrah bowled fantastically. This made India control the game against England on the second day.

India set the bar high, scoring a solid 396 in round one. Jaiswal made a jaw-dropping 209 runs from 290 balls, slamming seven sixes and 19 boundary hits.

Shubman Gill and debutant Rajat Patidar scored 34 and 32, respectively. Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel both scored 27, while Ravichandran Ashwin provided 20.

James Anderson, Rehan Ahmed, and debutant Shoaib Bashir each took three wickets for the visitors.

England responded, scoring 172/6 after 38.1 overs, with skipper Ben Stokes and Rehan Ahmed at the crease. Kuldeep Yadav removed the last batsman, Ben Foakes.

Zak Crawley rocked the game, hammering 76 from 78 balls for the visiting team. His performance was packed with two home runs and 11 four-run scores.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah and Yadav snagged three and two outs each for the home team up to now.
