An emotional scene played out as a young child was seen in tears following Rajasthan Royals shattered hopes in the IPL 2024 second qualifier against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday. It turned into a tough night for Rajasthan Royals enduring a 36run loss that resulted in their exit from IPL 2024.
Their bowling squad did well in the first innings, limiting a batting powerhouse side like SRH to 175/9 in 20 overs when their skipper chose to bowl first. Trent Boult and Avesh Khan were RR’s main bowlers, taking three wickets apiece.
Nevertheless the Rajasthan Royals batting department failed to step up for their teammates resulting in a lackluster total of 139/7 in 20 overs. It was only Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring 42 and Dhruv Jurel unbeaten at 56 who put up a fight with aggressive performances while the rest of the team struggled significantly.
RR started the season well, winning eight of their first nine games. However, their record deteriorated dramatically following that, with only one win in the next six completed games.
A young RR fan in the stands was sad when the team’s defeat became evident, and he was spotted in tears as the team’s IPL season came to an end.
