However they staged a remarkable resurgence with a series of six consecutive victories propelling them to the fourth spot on the points table and securing a playoff berth. Unfortunately RR thwarted the Royal Challengers in the Eliminator marking the end of their season.
Virat Kohli emerged as the standout performer for Royal Challengers Bangalore with the bat amassing a remarkable 741 runs across 15 matches at an impressive average of 61.75. His stellar innings featured five halfcenturies and a breathtaking century. This exceptional display of skill not only secured him the prestigious Orange Cap for the second time but also solidified his position as the first Indian cricketer to accomplish this extraordinary feat.

Dinesh Karthik, a veteran Indian and RCB wicketkeeper, has discussed Virat Kohli’s approach during the IPL 2024. He said that Kohli was motivated after receiving criticism from analysts over his strike rate in the T20 format. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik stated:
“I can write a book on how he was this year. He started okay but thanks to people like Simon (Doull) and a few others, they just really spurred him on. And you don’t want to see that side of Virat Kohli. I think he thrives on that. He is someone who inadvertently wants to hold on to certain things to do well. He loves proving people wrong. Even though he might not come out and say it, it really fuels his passion.”
