Urvashi Rautela was back in the headlines on Tuesday, April 11, as she attended the Delhi Capitals (DC) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) match in the ongoing IPL 2023. The Bollywood starlet shared several snippets of her visit to the Arun Jaitley Stadium on her social media accounts. She made waves last year when she mentioned a certain ‘RP’ who had waited hours for her in a hotel lobby during her stay in Delhi.

Fans were quick to speculate that this referred to cricketer Rishabh Pant who she had previously been linked to. Pant retaliated through a deleted post, and Rautela took a dig with a Facebook retort. Despite this, she attended the 2022 Asia Cup matches between India and Pakistan held in the UAE.

Speaking about the match, Delhi Capitals were knocked down by Mumbai Indians, suffering their fourth consecutive loss in the current edition. After Mumbai won the toss, they decided to bowl first. Jason Behrendorff and Piyush Chawla each snagged three wickets as DC were all out for 172 in 19.4 overs.

Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians’ captain, led the way with a score of 65 off 45, while Tilak Varma (41 off 29) and Ishan Kishan (31 off 26) followed his lead with vital contributions. Despite losing several wickets in quick succession, Cameron Green (17*) and Tim David (13*) held their nerve and put on a 30-run partnership off the final ball of the match to get their team over the finish line.

Despite dropping their fourth game consecutively, DC captain David Warner asserted that there were a lot of pleasing aspects to be found in the team’s performance. Yet, he confessed that Delhi was losing wickets too quickly in close succession. At the post-match presentation, Warner said:

“You look at the last three IPL games we have witnessed; they have been amazing. Wrong end of it today [Tuesday], but the guys were fantastic. I think from the last three games, we’ve some positives, but we shouldn’t lose wickets in clumps.”

“Timmy David was on the wrong side of it, so I tried to keep it at stump-height.” He further explained.
