Ahead of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, the Delhi Capitals (DC) are in a tough spot with some of their higher-priced signings. Despite this, they have several bargain players who provide more value than their price tags imply. Here are three DC players whose contracts don’t reflect their true worth.

3) Lungi Ngidi

The rise of Lungi Ngidi into a premier all-format bowler has been remarkable. Excelling in a strong South African bowling lineup, Ngidi has shown off his explosive pace and punishing accuracy with remarkable consistency. Although Ngidi might only be a bench option at DC, who already has countryman Anrich Nortje, at ₹50 lakhs, he is an excellent backup.

2) Rovmen Powell

Rovman Powell’s game has been taken to a whole new level thanks to his leadership skills. The all-rounder has become more consistent with his batting stats in different formats, and his recent T20 numbers are nothing short of amazing. The Delhi Capitals picked him up for only ₹2.8 crores, and his IPL 2022 stats show just why – he scored 250 runs with an impressive strike rate of 149.7, and it looks like he can only get better.

1) David Warner

DC’s new skipper David Warner is an incredible bargain with a price tag of ₹6.25 crore. Over the last decade in the IPL, Warner has been one of the most consistent and reliable players. Last season in IPL 2022, Warner put up impressive numbers – 432 runs with an average of 48.00 and a strike rate of 150.52. Warner has even more responsibility this year as he carries the burden of leading Delhi without Rishabh Pant.
