Since his first Test match in September 2022, Harry Brook has been a firecracker on the field. In just nine innings, he has four hundred in Tests. Brendon McCullum presently coaches England’s Test team. Their style of cricket is known as “BazBall” among cricket followers because of its violent nature.
Since McCullum and skipper Ben Stokes took over in June 2022, the Three Lions have been on a phenomenal run, winning 10 of their last 11 matches. The optimistic outlooks of both people have had a significant impact on Brook.

The majority of sixes on tests
McCullum had previously hit 107 sixes in a Test match, which was the record. But Stokes, the captain of England’s Test team, recently set a new record, and he now has 109 sixes in the format. On the other hand, Harry Brook has hit 20 sixes in just nine innings. The Yorkshireman smashed 186 off 176 with 24 fours and five sixes in his recent at-bat against New Zealand.
If he can replicate McCullum’s form with the red ball, he will likely become the player with the second-most sixes in cricket history.
The most successive fifties in Twenty20 Internationals
As a Twenty20 International player, Brendon McCullum excelled. He batted.356 with a.1362 slugging percentage and scored 2140 runs in 70 innings. The former New Zealand captain also has the record for the most half-centuries in a row, with four.
Through 17 T20I innings, Harry Brook has scored 372 runs at an average of 26.57 & a strike rate of 137.77. His entry points into the innings are typically in the latter half, reflecting his preference for batting in the middle order. It’s easy to imagine that if Brook is given regular time at number three, he may eventually surpass his Test mentor.
Quickest Test hundred
To this day, McCullum remains the record holder for the quickest Test hundred. In only 54 overs, he smashed the previous record held jointly by Sir Viv Richards and Misbah-ul-Haq (56 balls). In February of 2016, he did this in Christchurch, New Zealand, against the Australians.
For a batter with under ten innings under his belt in red ball, Brook’s strike rate of over 100 in two of his four centuries is fascinating. His first Test hundred came against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, and it only took him 80 balls to do it.
