The controversy was embroiled when Harbhajan Singh allegedly slapped Sreesanth. It came into light when Sreesanth was caught by TV cameras crying on the field before the presentation ceremony. Dhoni and Sehwag were never great friends but their differences of opinion were never this severe, as on the Australian tour of 2011-12. India after facing a crushing defeat in one ODI, Dhoni stated that the three senior players – Virendra Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir – were not being picked together in the tournament because they were slow fielders and could cost the side at least 20 runs. However, Sehwag didn’t agree with this.

The incident occurred in the mid-80s. The rift first came out after Kapil Dev was dropped from the cricket team against the visiting English team in 1984, which also delayed Kapil’s 100th Test match. The reason is said to be as a punishment for playing a reckless shot in the second Test match at Delhi, eventually ending up as the losing side.

#4 Navjot Singh Sidhu vs Mohammad Azharuddin

This spat happened in 1996 on England tour when Sidhu flew back to India before the start of the Test series. The tour is remembered for the infamous walk-out by opener Sidhu, citing differences with his captain. However, the exact reasons have never been spelled out by the people. However, Lele, in his book, claimed that Azhar used Hyderabadi slang which offended Sidhu.
