Team India cricketer Suryakumar Yadav recently had a good chuckle at teammate Yashasvi Jaiswals Instagram picture. The Indian contingent is currently in New York for the 2024 T20 World Cup scheduled to kick off in the West Indies and the USA on June 1.
The Indian team touched down in the Big Apple in two separate groups. The initial crew of cricketers featured the captain Rohit Sharma alongside fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah; the subsequent batch comprised Yuzvendra Chahal Avesh Khan and Jaiswal.
Jaiswal recently posted a photo of himself strolling the streets of New York. Suryakumar Yadav made fun of his youthful buddy in the article, writing:
The squad known as the Men in Blue is all geared up for the highly anticipated 2024 T20 World Cup. They find themselves in Group A battling it out with traditional foes Pakistan the cohosts USA as well as Ireland and Canada.
They will start their World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5 in New York.
India has not been able to secure a victory in the T20 World Cup since the glory days under MS Dhoni’s leadership in 2007 in South Africa. Their journey came to a heartbreaking end in the semifinals of the latest T20 World Cup suffering a defeat against eventual champions England by a massive 10 wickets.
