India’s T20I series leader in South Africa, Suryakumar Yadav, isn’t stressed about the fewer T20Is games Team India will participate in before the 2024 World Cup. He mentions IPL matches, occurring before the World Cup event, will help prepare the team.
The Blue Squad has only six T20Is on their calendar leading to the 2024 T20 World Cup. This event will take place in the United States and the West Indies during June. Once completing a three-game series in South Africa, India will welcome Afghanistan. They will battle in three T20Is on their home turf come January.
Before the T20I series against South Africa, Suryakumar eased worries. He said India’s lack of 20-overs games before the World Cup wasn’t a big problem.
