Suryakumar Yadav was recently praised by Ravichandran Ashwin for his unusual batting during the third T20I between India and Australia in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Yadav’s scoop shot for a six against Nathan Ellis left Ashwin speechless. The highest score came during India’s sixth over. Ellis delivered a length ball that angled into the right-handed hitter. Yadav went down and utilized the ball’s velocity to flick it over long leg for a six.

Yadav has been in excellent form with the bat in the present five-match T20I series for the uninitiated. In the T20I opener in Vizag, the right-handed batsman hammered 80 off 42 balls, including four sixes and nine boundaries. That game was won by the hosts by two wickets.

In the second ODI, Yadav helped the Men in Blue reach 235/4 before India triumphed by 44 runs. Yadav followed it up with a fast 19-run knock off 10 balls. The win sent the home team ahead in the five-match series by two goals.
