Cameron Green gave a solid start but could not stretch it. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder struggled. Andre Russell of Kolkata Knight Riders dismissed him. They are playing at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 29.

Cameron Green stormed to 33 runs off 20 deliveries after stepping in at No.3 after Faf du Plessis was dismissed in the innings’ second over. The Australian made the most of the remaining powerplay, with Virat Kohli at the other end.

Russell joined the attack in the eighth over of the innings. He had limited the established batsmen with cutters delivered on the back of a length. After the first four balls of the over gave only a couple of runs, Cameron Green took advantage of a full toss on the leg stump, sending it over deep square leg for a six.

However, the very next ball, Green found the middle stump jagged back as he attempted to flick the delivery down the leg side. After missing the mark with his stroke, the ball struck the pad and made its way to the stump.

A short rap broke the silence. It lacked vigor but hinted at progress for RCB and Green. He had floundered early, amassing just 21 runs over two innings. Each knock failed to impress.
