The left-hander strode in when DC required a mammoth 91 from the last 30 deliveries. However, he departed for just a solitary run off three balls faced. At 26 years old, Rishabh Pant seemed restless – when his side desperately needed over 18 runs per over.

Prithvi Shaw too shone brightly, compiling a polished 66 off 40 deliveries, hitting three towering maximums alongside eight crisp boundaries.
