Bhushan Patil, the Mumbai state team’s manager, has stated that there is “no cause for concern” about Shreyas Iyer’s health, since the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper is scheduled to attend his team’s pre-IPL 2024 camp in “two days.”
Shreyas Iyer did not play in the remaining two days of the Ranji Trophy final, after striking a superb 95 in the third innings to put Mumbai in command.
Some sources stated that Shreyas Iyer’s back issue, which had kept him out of earlier Ranji matches, had flared up and that he would miss the first four IPL 2024 matches.
“There is no cause for concern; he is fine and will be going to Kolkata for the pre-IPL camp in two days,” Mumbai team manager Bhushan Patil said, as quoted by Cricbuzz.
According to the Cricbuzz article, Shreyas Iyer had scans, however the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) deemed the results “inconclusive”. The state body is now expecting communication from the National Cricket Association (NCA).
