MS Dhoni, the renowned keeper-batsman for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), shared a delightful moment with bowling coach Dwayne Bravo during the resounding IPL 2024 win over the Gujarat Titans on Tuesday, March 26 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Bravo was sharing handshakes and embraces following the game, but MS Dhoni purposefully avoided shaking hands with the former West Indian all-rounder and even startled him by appearing to punch him, all in good fun.

MS Dhoni did not bat, but he did get his moment in the game when he took a wonderful diving catch to eliminate Vijay Shankar in the eighth over of Gujarat Titans’ chase.

In chase of 207, GT lost skipper Shubman Gill for 8 and Wriddhiman Saha for 21 to fall to 34-2. They needed a partnership for the third wicket, but Dhoni’s wizardry behind the stumps prevented it.

Shankar drove at Daryl Mitchell’s delivery outside off stump, but only achieved a thick edge. Dhoni, 42, dove full length to his right and made a superb catch, sending Shankar on his way.

Gujarat Titans never recovered from their early defeats and fell well short of their goal.

Sai Sudharsan led the way with 37 runs off 31 balls, while no other GT hitter scored more than 30. David Miller was dismissed for 21, Azmatullah Omarzai for 11, and Rahul Tewatia for six.
