The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is in full swing, with the tournament nearing its conclusion. The IPL is a significant event for fans of former India captain MS Dhoni because they only get to witness him play during the league.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have received huge support despite not being the home team, demonstrating the fans’ excitement. Fans have been coming in large numbers to catch a glance of their hero.
Dhoni has not disappointed, performing admirably in his restricted number of batting attempts. He has 96 runs scored this year at a strike rate of 204.26, which is simply incredible.
Dhoni has had support from his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva, who has been in attendance for the last few games. Their presence has resulted in several charming moments that fans have enjoyed seeing over the years.
On that point, here are three MS Dhoni- Ziva moments from the IPL that melted fans’ hearts:
1) When Ziva wanted to hug MS Dhoni (IPL 2018)
During an IPL 2018 match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Kings XI Punjab, Ziva, who was sitting in the spectators, wanted to hug her father, MSD. Dhoni was currently batting at the moment
Dhoni subsequently uploaded a video of Ziva requesting someone to bring her father to the stands. When the individual remarked he couldn’t do that during the game, Ziva cutely replied that he could because he was wearing the CSK jersey
2) Ziva hugs Dhoni after a game (IPL 2023)
The Chennai Super Kings hosted the Delhi Capitals at their home venue, the M. Chidambaram Stadium, just yesterday. CSK won the match without breaking a sweat, courtesy of the Capitals’ lacklustre batting performance led by David Warner.
Sakshi Dhoni and her daughter Ziva had come to watch the game and were constantly shouting for the yellow brigade. Ziva raced to the ground and hugged Dhoni after the game, right before the award ceremony, and the father-daughter combo enjoyed some nice moments thereafter.
Ziva and MSD were seen playing football during a practice session prior to the game.
3) Ziva and MS playing around after a game (IPL 2018)
MS Dhoni and Ziva were seen having fun after a game between the Chennai Super Kings and the Kings XI Punjab at the end of the IPL 2018. Deepak Chahar and Lungisani Ngidi, Dhoni’s teammates, also played with Ziva.
In Pune, Ziva and Captain Cool were spotted climbing the stairs leading to the dressing room. The latter uploaded a video of the incident to Instagram.
