Cricketer Kuldeep Yadav gave a spot-on prediction for the scoreline ahead of the final of UEFA Euros 2024 between Spain and England.
Kuldeep won the 2024 T20 World Cup with India just over two weeks ago. The tournament, which was played in the United States and the West Indies, saw India defeat South Africa in one of the greatest World Cup finals ever.
Most Indian players from the World Cup team were given rest for India’s tour to Zimbabwe, with Kuldeep being one of them. As he is currently not busy with national duties, the left-arm wrist spinner was present for the Spain vs England final of the Euros, being played in Berlin’s Olympiastadion.
As one of the several massive fans of football in the Indian National Cricket Team camp, it was no surprise that Yadav was in the stadium to watch the final live.
Before kick-off, Sony Sports, who are the official broadcasters of UEFA Euros 2024 in India, caught up with the leggie to talk about his love for the sport and his opinion on the final.
Kuldeep Yadav Correctly Predicts Euros Final Score
During the conversation, the 29-year-old was asked his opinion as to who would win the final. Kuldeep started giving a diplomatic answer before clearing that he supports Spain, and according to him, La Roja had been the best team in the tournament to that point.
At the end of his statement, the cricketer predicted the scoreline for the game, and he was spot on with it. This was the statement that Kuldeep Yadav gave before the match even started.
“Both teams are playing really well at the moment. Spain has been really well throughout this tournament. If they play like that, the way they played all the games, I’m sure they can easily pass through England. But the final is always tough (to predict), but I am supporting Spain, and I think they will go past England and win 2-1,” Kuldeep told Sony Sports Network.
And his prediction came true, as Spain defeated England 2-1 within regulation time to lift their fourth Euro title and their third in the last five attempts.

Spain scored the first goal of the UEFA Euro 2024 final in the 47th minute, off the feet of Nico Williams. In the 73rd minute, Cole Palmer equalised for England, before Spain’s Mikel Oyarzabal made it 2-1 in the 86th minute, which was the final scoreline.
As for Kuldeep Yadav, he will most likely be seen in action during India’s tour to Sri Lanka, which will commence later this month on July 27.
