Kevin Pietersen, a former England star batter, made a bold remark against Virat Kohli after the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) failed to win the IPL title. RCB were eliminated from qualifying for the playoffs after losing to the Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday, finishing the season in sixth position.

Kohli was heartbroken after the game, as it was yet another season in which his ambition of winning his first IPL championship was dashed.

Kevin Pietersen resorted to Twitter to suggest that Virat Kohli consider moving on to another organisation, the Delhi Capitals.

Here’s what Pietersen said on Twitter:

Time for VIRAT to make the move to the capital city…! #IPL”

Virat Kohli seems to be back at his best in the shortest format after an outstanding IPL 2023 season with the bat. Kohli scored 639 runs in 14 matches, including six half-centuries and a couple of hundreds in consecutive games.

The former captain stepped up his game precisely when his side needed it the most, blasting hundreds against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Gujarat Titans on Sunday, May 21. However, one of RCB’s biggest difficulties this season was their reliance on their elite players, which showed in their performance against the Titans.

Kohli stayed undefeated on 101 from 61 balls, and his team was given an opportunity by setting a goal of 198. Chinnaswamy, on the other hand, has been a chasing ground, and the hosts will feel they were 15-20 runs short.

Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Virat Kohli have done most of the scoring for RCB, and they would like to add some strength to that middle order before next season.
