Amidst reports of a rumored fallout, Harbhajan Singh clarified that he shares a cordial relationship with MS Dhoni, with whom he has played for years in the Indian team and the IPL. Despite their busy schedules, Harbhajan affirmed that they maintain a strong bond despite meeting infrequently. He said:
“Why would I have a problem with MS Dhoni? We played a lot of cricket for India and have been very, very good friends, and still are. He became busy with his life, and I became busy with mine, and we don’t meet very often. But there’s no rift whatsoever.
“As far as I know, he hasn’t taken away any of my properties (laughs). But yes, I am interested in some of his properties, especially his farmhouse.”
In addition to representing the Indian cricket team, Harbhajan Singh and MS Dhoni were also teammates in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the Indian Premier League (IPL). Harbhajan played for the franchise for three seasons and was a part of their championship-winning squad in 2018.

Harbhajan Singh has praised the inclusion of star all-rounder Ben Stokes in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad for IPL 2023. According to Harbhajan, the combination of Stokes and MS Dhoni makes CSK a formidable team. He also dismissed suggestions that CSK’s best days are behind them and stated that they could prove doubters wrong.
Harbhajan also highlighted Stokes’ ability to win matches single-handedly and described him as one of the most prominent champions in world cricket. He praised CSK’s decision to acquire Stokes for a whopping ₹16.25 crore at the IPL 2023 mini-auction.
CSK will kick off their IPL 2023 campaign against the Gujarat Titans on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With the addition of Stokes and a strong core of experienced players, CSK hopes to add to its three IPL titles.
