The young debutant reache­d his first IPL half-century off just 25 deliverie­s, before being dismisse­d by Nortje. In his 27-ball stay, Angkrish Raghuvanshi struck 5 fours and 3 sixes, scoring 54 runs at an explosive­ strike rate of 200. His blistering knock booste­d KKR’s total.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Narine carried KKR from 60/1 to 164/2 before the latter returned to the pavilion. Before the 18-year-old could demonstrate his batting abilities further, Nortje took his second wicket of the day, providing DC with another critical breakthrough.

Following Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s impressive half-centuries, middle-order batsman Andre Russell anchored the innings. He got started right away, batting with a strike rate of 227.78 and scoring 41(19) to assist his team reach 200 runs. Russell’s performance contained four fours and three sixes, as the 35-year-old hammered the opposing bowlers.

The KKR hitters together scored the team’s highest-ever score in the history of the cash-rich tournament. They topped their previous best of 245/6 against the Punjab Kings in IPL 2018, finishing with 272/7 and creating a new IPL record for the second-highest team total.
