At the post-match presentation, an ecstatic RCB captain Faf du Plessis reminisced on the victory, saying:

“What a night it was unbelievable. It’s great to finish this in front of our fans. Myself and Virat was talking about the score after the rain. There were a lot of rain falling on the pitch and I was having a chat with the umpires. The last over that Dayal bowled was unbelievable and he equally deserves the Man of the match. So, I want to share this with him.”

“I felt like the yorkers wasn’t working so I told him to go back to your strengths, which is a slow ball. It’s been amazing and I experienced an unbelievable atmosphere. I thank the fans and we are grateful for the RCB fans. We will soak the applause, celebrate and get back to work tomorrow.”
