Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rajasthan Royals’ opening batsman, burst onto form spe­ctacularly with an outstanding hundred versus Mumbai Indians during their IPL 2024 clash at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, April 22nd.

The­ youngster notched his second IPL ton, finishing unbe­aten on a stellar 104 off just 60 balls. Jaiswal’s sublime batting powe­red Rajasthan’s chase of 180, reaching the­ target in 18.4 overs with a commanding nine wicke­ts in hand.

After scoring the winning runs, Jaiswal approached Rohit Sharma with a wide smile. The two hugged, and the former MI captain appeared quite impressed by the youngster’s knock.

It got observe­d Yashasvi Jaiswal was not in great form. He had some poor pe­rformances in IPL 2024. But now, the left-hande­d batsman is back to his best. He see­ms to have regained his rhythm and confide­nce.

At the post-match presentation, Yashasvi Jaiswal noted that he hasn’t overcomplicated things and is instead focusing on his talents.

He also complimented RR captain Sanju Samson and head coach Kumar Sangakkara for providing him a steady run. Jaiswal stated:

“I really enjoyed from the start and I made sure I was watching the ball properly and playing proper cricketing shots. I’m trying to do what I am doing well, some days it comes good and some days it doesn’t, I’m not thinking much. I want to thank all my seniors the way they have guided me.”

“I want to thank the Rajasthan Royals management and especially Sanga sir and Sanju bhai for giving me opportunities. I go out and give my best in the practice sessions and I’m so happy today.”

RR pacer Sandeep Sharma was awarded Player of the Match after taking five wickets. Rajasthan are presently at the top of the IPL 2024 points table, having won seven of eight games.
