Yashasvi Jaiswal’s hot streak continued in the third Test against England at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, when the opening batsman hit an unbeaten 214 to lead India to a massive 434-run victory.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored an amazing 545 runs in three Tests, averaging 109. The 22-year-old is easily the series’ leading run-getter, with Ben Duckett (288) coming in second. Only Shubman Gill (252) among the Indians has scored more than 250 runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal accomplished a unique accomplishment by becoming only the third Indian hitter to score double century in consecutive Tests. The first incidence occurred in 1993, followed by the second in 2017.

3. Yashasvi Jaiswal – 209 & 214* vs England, 2024
Yashasvi Jaiswal has just played seven Tests in his career, but he is already making history. The left-hander is only two sixes shy of Virat Kohli’s career tally in the format and has tied the former Indian skipper for another milestone – more on that later.

He was dissatisfied with his 80 in the first Test and scored a brilliant 209 in the first innings in Visakhapatnam to help India tie the series.
Yashasvi Jaiswal then moved from strength to strength in Rajkot, scoring 214* despite a first-inning failure and suffering a back spasm. He hit a record-equaling 12 sixes in his frenetic knock, giving the hosts the advantage.

In his fourth Test innings against England at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the elegant left-hander hit his first century in the format and went on to score a spectacular double ton. A few weeks later, against Zimbabwe in Delhi, he scored another double-century.
Kambli’s strong form continued in subsequent matches against Sri Lanka, when he scored two more hundreds, but his slide began in March 1994. He failed to score a half-century in his following ten Test innings, including three ducks, before retiring in November 1995.
1. Virat Kohli – 213 & 225* vs Sri Lanka, 2017
For the most of the 2010s, Virat Kohli dominated Test cricket. In 2017, the superstar batter’s performance reached a new high against one of his favorite opponents, Sri Lanka.
Kohli scored a duck to begin a three-match home series against the Lankans, but he never looked back after that. He scored a fantastic century in the second innings of the first Test in Kolkata before stepping it up a notch in the next two games.
Kohli scored a brilliant 213 in Nagpur before following it up with a stunning 243 in Delhi. He even scored another half-century in the second innings of the Delhi Test, which finished in a tie.
Virat Kohli averaged an astounding 75.64 in Tests in 2017, with five scores of 100 or above. It was a high point that the great man may never reach again.
