Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his magical series by scoring his third Test hundred on Day 3 of the upcoming Test against England in Rajkot on Saturday, February 17.
Jaiswal’s counter-attack stunned the England bowlers, as he followed up his spectacular double century in Visakhapatnam with another huge score in Rajkot. As he crushed Mark Wood beyond the covers for a boundary, the teenager leaped with delight and praised the heavens for another splendid century.
Yashasvi Jaiswal took a time to absorb everything after a thundering wave of applause from both the fans and the Indian dressing room.

Soon after hitting his hundred, Jaiswal had back stiffness and was forced to quit injured after 104 runs off 133 balls. India would hope that the kid is well enough to bat again on Day 4.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, a typically aggressive batsman, needed 48 balls to smash his maiden boundary on Day 3. However, after he had settled in, Jaiswal proceeded to pick apart England’s bowling assault.
Whether facing the seasoned James Anderson or the inexperienced Tom Hartley and Rehan Ahmed, the youthful southpaw went for his shots anytime the ball was in his zone. He hammered boundaries and sixes virtually at whim, possibly putting India in control of the Test match.
Shubman Gill also played an important role in the key partnership with Jaiswal, and he is undefeated on 65 at Stumps on Day 3. After a fantastic day of cricket, India ends on 196/2, 322 runs ahead.
Given England’s success in pursuing using the Bazball tactic, the hosts would want to bat them out of the Test on Day 4.
