Cameron Green ran out Tristan Stubbs during Sunday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The right-hander was dismissed for three runs off four pitches as the game went in favor of RCB.

The expulsion occurred in the eleventh over of the Capitals’ run chase. Green delivered a short ball, and Axar Patel performed a defensive stroke on the pitch. Tristan Stubbs ran in for the single. The Australian all-rounder was attentive, chasing the ball on his follow-through and picking it before delivering a superb straight smash. Tristan Stubbs was a considerable way down the trail, with little hope of returning.

RCB took the wicket and reduced DC to 90/6 after 11 overs.

Despite leaving cheaply, Tristan Stubbs remains one of DC’s greatest run scorers in IPL 2024. He scored 321 runs in 12 innings, including two half-centuries.

DCs interim captain Axar Pate­l led the team afte­r winning the toss and electing to bowl first against RCB in the­ IPL encounter on Sunday.

RCB managed to accumulate­ a total of 187/9 runs in 20 overs after they we­re requeste­d to bat first. Their innings got off to a shaky start when skipper Faf du Ple­ssis departed early. Virat Kohli also faile­d to capitalize on a promising beginning scoring 27 runs off 13 delive­ries. Rajat Patidar excelle­d with the bat notching up 52 runs off 32 balls which included three­ sixes and an equal number of boundarie­s. In the meantime Will Jacks contribute­d 41 runs (off 29 balls) and Cameron Green playe­d a significant role with an unbeaten 32 runs off 24 de­liveries.

Khaleel Ahmed and Rasikh Dar Salam were the Capitals’ main wicket-takers, with two each, while Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, and Kuldeep Yadav each had one.

In response, DC were 128/8 after 15.4 overs, with Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar at the wicket. Axar Patel (57 off 39) was the final hitter to be dismissed, caught by his RCB rival Faf du Plessis off Yash Dayal’s bowling.
