Shashank Singh, an in-form Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter, failed to produce against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 encounter at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday (May 5). The youngster scored 27 runs from 20 balls, including four boundaries.
The left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner ended the partnership of 53 runs between Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh.
The dismissal occurred during the eighth over of the PBKS run chase. After being hammered for a boundary on the previous ball, Mitchell Santner brought the length back as Shashank Singh attempted a powerful shot down the ground. The ball dipped and pitched away as the right-hander missed the inside half and holed out to Simarjit Singh at long-on.

CSK dominate PBKS in IPL 2024 match
Chennai Super Kings played really well against Punjab Kings last Sunday. They won the match easily.

Chennai team had scored 167 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. Jadeja scored the highest with 43 runs from 26 balls. He hit two big sixes and three fours. The team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad made 32 runs in 21 balls. Daryl Mitchell also scored 30 runs in 19 balls.
Harshal Patel and Rahul Chahar excelled with the ball for PBKS, taking three wickets apiece, while Arshdeep Singh claimed two.
The Super Kings team won the last IPL title. They will try to beat the team they lost against recently. That team is Punjab. The Super Kings players want to start winning again.
