In 2022, Pakistan’s T20 World Cup final witnessed a defeat against England, leaving their supporters saddened. An incident, however, took this disappointment too far. A fan unleashed inappropriate comments about Shaheen Afridi who incurred an injury during this last match.

Wasim Akram, speaking on A Sports, lashed out at the supporter for showing disrespect to his own player.

“Agar tumhein tameez nahi hai na chote bade ki. Apne player ko tum battameezi kar rahe ho. Koi sharam, koi haya nahi hai. (You don’t have manners to respect your elders. You are speaking rubbish about your own player. You have absolutely no shame).”

Despite losing the Test series 3-0 to Australia, Pakistan will remember numerous instances when the Aussies were put under strain. This will only add to the new-look side’s experience under new skipper Shan Masood.
