In India’s victory over Afghanistan, Virat Kohli followed it up with 55* off 56 before getting out for 16 against Pakistan.
On Thursday in Pune, India’s second World Cup encounter will be against Bangladesh. In ODIs, Virat Kohli has an outstanding record against Bangladesh. He has scored 807 runs at an average of 67.25 in 15 games, including four centuries.
In his debut ODI against Bangladesh in a tri-nation competition at Mirpur in January 2010, Virat Kohli made 91 off 102. A few days later, at the same location, he hit 102* off 95 balls in a performance that included 11 fours as the Men in Blue easily chased down a target of 248 in 43 overs with six wickets in hand.
During the 2011 World Cup, the right-handed hitter also hit an unbeaten 100 off just 83 balls in Mirpur.
