Suryakumar Yadav is considered one of the greatest T20 players in Indian cricket history. He hit a six in his first international delivery against English cricketer Jofra Archer, showcasing his fearless approach to attacking right immediately. Only a few batters have been as consistent and ferocious as Surya. As proven by his reputation, he is undoubtedly one of the best players to play the format.

Yadav has put a lot of effort into his career and received an international cap in 30, following a streak of outstanding IPL performances. This article looks at the individuals who contributed quietly to Suryakumar’s achievement.

His Parents – Ashok Kumar Yadav & Swapna Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav has frequently mentioned how important his parents were to his achievement. They have supported both his highs and lows. Suryakumar’s parents often state that if he is not scared while batting, they shouldn’t worry about him when he is on the field. Surya has a permanent tattoo of his parents on his right arm, just like his teammate Virat Kohli.

His Wife – Devisha Shetty

Since their college years, Surya and Devisha have known one another. They were married in July 2016. Devisha, his wife, volunteered for an NGO called The Lighthouse Project. She started her career as a dance coach in Mumbai and is also a very skilled dancer. Devisha provided Surya with the necessary emotional support and assisted him in developing a more composed demeanour. In the past, Suryakumar claimed that his wife was his most significant support source. He has frequently discussed how she has benefited his life and profession.

Former teammate – Vinayak Mane

First-class cricketer Vinayak Mane played for Mumbai in 57 games. Mane, however, could not live up to expectations since he sustained numerous unexpected injuries during his career. Mane later took over as the Parsee Gymkhana coach and gave Surya some advice on how to build his self-confidence after the MCA fired the latter in the 2014–15 season due to conduct and attitude problems. When Suryakumar Yadav played for the BPCL corporate cricket team as an 18-year-old, he served as their captain.
