The India vs Bangladesh Test series is underway, and the second Test of the 2-match series is going on in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. India already won the first Test and are bowling against the visitors in the second one.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh player Tamim Iqbal lauded the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the Indian cricket team’s great success in the sport.
Tamim Iqbal Lauds BCCI for India Cricket Success
According to him, great players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are a factor, but without BCCI being so strong, the team wouldn’t have achieved what they have already. Tamim highlighted the importance of a plan to reach a goal. He was talking to the Sportstar.
“The people at the top need to have a plan for their goals. The captain, coach, and players want to win the trophies, but what does the board want? You can praise Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as much as possible, but if the BCCI had not been strong, the team wouldn’t have achieved so much.”
He also admitted that he had issues with certain people in BCB’s previous regime. He also thinks that the new BCB president needs more time before ‘judging him’
“There are always ifs and buts. In the previous BCB regime, three former skippers were part of the administration. Did they do everything wrong? No, they did a lot of good things. I might have issues with a few people, but that doesn’t mean BCB was bad. This time, the board president is a cricketer, and he needs time before we start judging him,” he added.
