Ruturaj Gaikwad of Team India was placed in a sticky situation ahead of the first ODI against South Africa on Sunday at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

Ruturaj was walking approaching the bus when the driver abruptly closed the door in his face, rendering him speechless. The footage of the event has gone popular on social media, and at the end of the movie, the bus driver is seen making a hand motion to the batter who is stranded outside the door.

Ruturaj Gaikwad then uncomfortably looked laterally for any other choices.

Take a look at the following incident:

The recent bus travels for Team India have been exciting. A similar fan-recorded video of T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav abusing Arshdeep Singh in the bus before making his way to his seat went viral.

Suryakumar, on the other hand, published a story on Instagram to praise Arshdeep’s remarkable five-wicket haul in Team India’s eight-wicket triumph against the Proteas in the first ODI.

The visitors now lead the three-match series 1-0.

Team India bowled brilliantly to dismiss the hosts for a measly 116 on a worn-out track. Debutant Sai Sudharsan and Shreyas Iyer then added fifties to help India win by eight wickets.

However, Ruturaj Gaikwad blew an excellent opportunity when he was removed for five runs in the fourth over of the run chase by Wiaan Mulder.

Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the batting in the T20I series as the opening batsman was unwell and missed all of the matches. He scored the most runs in the 4-1 T20I series victory against Australia at home prior to the South Africa tour.

The second One-Day International is set for Tuesday, December 19.
