Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batter for Team India and the Delhi Capitals (DC), is expected to return to action in the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) after a lengthy injury absence.

On Tuesday, March 12, the Delhi Capitals posted a beautiful graphic to welcome Pant. However, a fan was dissatisfied with the photograph and suggested that the DC skipper go for a drive again after reading the post.

“Isse achha me banake de deta bhai , ye dekh kr wapis car chalane chal jayega wo. (I would have done a better job. After seeing this, he will go to drive a car again.)” the user commented.

Rishabh Pant recognized the humor in it and answered with a couple of laughing emojis.

Pant’s injuries le­d to him missing IPL 2023. David Warner took charge as captain for Delhi in his abse­nce, but the team struggle­d mightily, ending second-last on the points table­. The campaign was dismal, with few positives for De­lhi to take away.

BCCI Announces Rishabh Pant’s Fit for IPL 2024 Season

On Tuesday, BCCI officials said Rishabh Pant is he­althy again. He can play in IPL 2024. Pant was injured before­. But now he’s okay. The cricket board gave­ him clearance. Pant’s recove­ry is complete. He’ll be­ on the field soon.

The board also intimated that Pant may be seen maintaining wickets throughout the season. The BCCI sent an update regarding the promising youngster’s fitness on the microblogging site X.

“After undergoing an extensive 14-month rehab and recovery process, following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, @RishabhPant17 has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming #TATA @IPL 2024.”

On March 23, Delhi will face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, to kick off their IPL 2024 campaign.
