Rilee Rossouws stunning chase and catch of Donovan Ferreiras shot during the Rajasthan Royals (RR) versus Punjab Kings (PBKS) match at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday May 15 added a thrilling moment to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 showdown. Punjabs quick dismissal of Ferreira who managed only seven runs from eight balls intensified the matchs excitement.

A tough knock from local youngster Riyan Parag helped Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings 144-9 in Guwahati.
Parag excelled with the bat, scoring 48 runs off 34 balls in an innings that included six boundaries. Ravichandran Ashwin also scored 28 off 19, with one six and three boundaries. The two collaborated on 50 runs to help RR recover from 42/3.
Captain Sanju Samson and Tom Kohler-Cadmore both scored 18 runs but faced 15 and 23 balls, respectively.
Meanwhile, Punjab skipper Sam Curran, Harshal Patel, and Rahul Chahar each took two wickets, with Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Ellis taking one each.
PBKS currently occupies the lowest rank on the points table securing merely four victories out of 12 games. This unfavorable standing has resulted in their elimination from the playoffs contention leaving them to compete for honor and display their unwavering spirit.
The Royals have secured their place in the playoffs. Theyve accumulated 16 points from 12 games. Winning would really solidify their position in the top two on the points table. These top two sides will be given two opportunities to progress to the final.
