It was another ‘Rachin Ravindra’ performance as the teenager maintained his merry run with a century against Pakistan in the current Match 35 of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 in Bengaluru.

Ravindra was inserted into the starting XI on Saturday (November 4), with Kane Williamson recovering from injury. He helped New Zealand get off to a fast start, scoring 68 runs alongside Devon Conway (35).

Ravindra appeared to be in top form from the outset. He played some beautiful strokes and gave the Pakistani bowlers nothing. Williamson joined Ravindra in the 12th over, and the two dominated the roost.

The pair had a flawless batting effort and established the groundwork for the Kiwis, putting up 180 runs for the second wicket in only 147 balls.

Rachin Ravindra was the first to reach his half-century, reaching it in 51 balls. He went insane following his fifty, reaching the three-digit mark in only 37 balls.

The highlight of his performance was how quickly he exploited gaps in the field and devastated Pakistan’s bowling attack without breaking a sweat. When he was in his 90s, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium audience began chanting “Rachin, Rachin.”

Ravindra scored 108 runs off 94 balls, hitting 15 boundaries and a single six before being holed out on the deep square leg boundary off Mohammad Wasim’s bowling in the 36th over.

Rachin Ravindra also wrote a plethora of albums on his way to his spectacular knock. Here’s a collection of three of them.

Ravindra began the campaign on a high note, hitting 123* against England in his first ODI World Cup appearance. He subsequently smashed his second century against Australia in Dharamsala.

Ravindra’s third century against Pakistan makes him the only player in New Zealand history to score three hundred in a one ODI World Cup.

Glenn Turner (in 1975), Martin Guptill (2015), and Kane Williamson (in 2019) have all previously broken two hundreds.

Rachin Ravindra has had an outstanding start to his international career. While he contributed throughout the prior two years, the southpaw has definitely made a name for himself with his outstanding efforts in the current competition.

As previously stated, he has already scored three centuries for New Zealand in the competition.

It’s worth noting that Ravindra is the only player under the age of 23 to have scored three century in ODI World Cups. He is only 23 years old and 351 days.
