Lucknow Super Giants batsman Nicholas Pooran demonstrated great fielding skills. He showed brilliance when Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Mayank Dagar was batting. Pooran ran out Dagar with an excellent piece of fielding on April 2. This dismissal put RCB in deeper trouble while chasing the target.
Mahipal Lomror mistimed a shot in the game’s last over, which was bowled by Yash Thakur, but still found no-man’s land. Lomror sent back Mayank Dagar, who attempted to scurry for a rapid second run but lost his footing and slipped.
Nicholas Pooran made a quick pick-up-and-throw and delivered a fantastic direct hit to the striker’s end. Once Dagar stumbled, he had little hope of recovering in time, putting another nail in the Royal Challengers coffin.

Dagar is recognized for his ability to hit the long ball and may have made an important impact with Mahipal Lomror. This made Pooran’s outstanding fielding performance even more important in the circumstances of the game. Nicholas Pooran came out to bat as RCB began to claw their way back into the game in the opening innings. The Super Giants needed a strong finale to surpass 180 runs, and Pooran delivered.
The southpaw hammered three sixes in a row off Reece Topley and two more in the penultimate over off Mohammed Siraj to finish with 40*(21). The goal of 182 was within reach for the hosts, but they continued to lose wickets at regular intervals.
Young Mayank Yadav received the Player of the Match title once more, this time for his astounding 3/14 numbers. RCB lost by 29 runs, their third defeat in four IPL 2024 games.
