The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team owner Sanjiv Goenka seemed puzzled by captain KL Rahul’s plans. This happened after the Lucknow team faced a big defeat from SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday, May 8th. Goenka was seen talking actively with the captain.
In a video that has gone popular on social media, KL Rahul is seen attempting to explain something as Goenka appears dissatisfied with the skipper’s reply. The seeming dispute might be attributed to the way in which the setback occurred, as well as the owner’s heightened emotions.

Chasing just 166 runs, SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma made an absolute joke of LSG’s bowling attack, winning by an eye-popping 68 balls.
KL Rahul was naturally stunned by the defeat, but praised both Abhishek (75* off 28) and Head (89* off 30) for their devastation and the way they shown purpose while out there in the middle.
Here is what Rahul told the host broadcaster after the game:
“I am lost for words. We have watched that batting on TV, but that was unreal. They didn’t give a chance to see what the wicket was playing like, it didn’t change much, but that mindset and freedom to tee off from ball one… the only way to stop them was wickets in the powerplay and we didn’t do that.”

LSG’s loss was a big problem for their run rate. They are now in sixth place, below Delhi Capitals (DC). LSG will likely need to win their next two games. And they may also need to win by a large margin. This will give them a better chance to make the playoffs.
