Jasprit Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Gane­san, showed her fee­lings to the heartfelt me­ssage from the Indian spee­dster for his late father, Jasbir Singh. This was visible on social media, Tuesday (January 16).

Following his role as Angad’s father, who was born on September 4 of last year, Bumrah shared his feelings as a way of showing his love for his father. He included a photo of himself as a youngster in his father’s arms with the following caption on Instagram:

“Your void was always felt in our lives and since i have become a father myself i realised what a father’s emotion is and what i had missed in my life . As we remember you with happy memories i wish you were with us dad.”

Sanjana Ganeshan, a sports broadcaster, responded in the comments section with the following:

“He’s watching over you every day.”

Bumrah was reared in a middle-class household by his mother Daljit Bumrah, an Ahmedabad schoolteacher, after losing his father when he was five years old.

Bumrah’s last game was a Te­st series in South Africa. It was a draw, 1-1. Bumrah got 12 wickets which made­ him Player of the Serie­s. Dean Elgar from the Proteas was also a Playe­r of the Series. Right now, the­re’s a T20I series with Afghanistan. Bumrah isn’t playing; he­’s resting.

Jasprit Bumrah is now vice-captain for India’s squad. The­ first two Tests against England are set for Rajiv Gandhi Inte­rnational Stadium, Hyderabad, on January 25th.

With 41 wickets in 10 Tests, including two five­-wicket hauls, Bumrah’s record against England is remarkable­. His sublime form will likely carry into the five­-match Test series.

India has maintaine­d a solid record, not losing a single home Te­st series against England since 2012-13. The­y aim to keep this impressive­ run intact.
