According to news sources, MS Dhoni, the ex-India captain, faces a defamation claim lodged in Delhi’s High Court by Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das, his prior business associates.
This comes as MS Dhoni, the current Chennai Super Kings leader, sad that Diwakar and Soumya cheated him. He says he lost over ₹15 crore.
The Times of India reports that Mihir and Soumya’s petition wants a lasting order. This order would prohibit Dhoni, some social media sites, and news outlets. It would stop them from sharing “defamatory statements” they claim are untrue.
The lawsuit indicated that the complainants turned to the High Court for reputation security and damage recovery. According to the claim, the past Indian skipper, via his remarks and charges, had tarnished their image.
The article states that a hearing for the defamation plea is set on January 18.

According to media sources earlier this month, Dhoni launched a criminal lawsuit against Mihir and Soumya, his former business partners. The keeper-batter and Mihir of Aarka Sports and Management Limited came to an arrangement in 2017 to start cricket academies all over the world, according to an article published by India Today. Dhoni’s lawsuit claimed that Diwakar had broken the terms of the agreement.
MS Dhoni canceled Aarka Sports’ permission letter on August 15, 2021, citing Aarka Sports’ failure to comply with the terms of paying a franchise fee and sharing revenues.
Denying the groundless accusations, Mihir engaged with his online audience, posting a comprehensive response. He rebutted the ex-India captain’s statements affirmatively, clarifying he owes MS Dhoni no money as raised in the complaint.

By dint of my hard work I established, materialized and expanded the work which has pinched him and MSD being a big name is trying to throttle me, my business and my social integrity.”
