Daniel Jarvis, popularly known as ‘Jarvo,’ a YouTuber, has a reputation for storming into the field of play, and he did it again on Sunday, October 8, in a 2023 World Cup game between India and Australia in Chennai.

Jarvo shared a video on Instagram of himself heading onto the pitch wearing his Indian jersey. He began by greeting Mohammed Siraj, who was furious to see him on the field and appeared to tell him to quit.

KL Rahul quickly approached Jarvo and instructed him to leave the field. Security officials promptly intervened and escorted the YouTuber away. As they were removing him, Virat Kohli walked over to Jarvo and exchanged some words, likely expressing his dissatisfaction with the intrusion during a World Cup game.

The ICC prioritizes player safety, thus Jarvo will not be permitted inside the stadium for any of the tournament’s remaining games.

An ICC spokesperson told PTI:

“The individual concerned has been banned from attending any further games at the event and the matter is in the hands of the Indian authorities.”

“The safety and security of everyone involved in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is our priority. We will work with the venue to understand what happened and consider if any additional security measures are required to prevent it happening again.”

Despite a frustrating start, India had a morale-boosting triumph against the Australians in Chennai. They managed to recover from a challenging 2/3 position with the help of an outstanding 165-run partnership between Kohli and Rahul.
