Jasprit Bumrah, the foremost bowler for Team India, will not take part in the last two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which began in Nagpur on February 9th.
As he was still in recovery from his back issues, he was not named in the Indian squad for the first two Tests against the Aussies. To get back in shape, he is currently working at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
Recently, it was reported that Jasprit Bumrah had begun to practice bowling at the National Cricket Academy and that, assuming all goes according to plan, he might make a return for the final two Tests against Australia.
The Indian think tank has reportedly decided not to take a chance by having him take part in a Test series due to the upcoming ODI World Cup. Bumrah is being given more time to recuperate from his injuries.
It has been stated in the report that the determination of whether the quick bowler will compete in the one-day series against Australia, which will be held after the Tests, will be made next week. The India-Australia ODI series will take place from March 17 to 22.
The Telegraph reported, “Bumrah has been undergoing full-tilt bowling sessions at the NCA for the past few days and has pulled up well. There has been no stiffness the following day, which is the most encouraging part for him.”
The report additionally mentioned that the 29-year-old has been practising with a white ball at the National Cricket Academy, which is a strong sign that he will not be playing in the final two Tests of the Australia series at home.
