Australia is widely known for attempting to put its competitors under psychological strain. Monday, Cricket Australia pursued this strategy by posting an old video from India’s last venture to the country. 

The footage was taken from the 2020-21 series, featuring the Indian lineup getting bowled out for only 36 runs in the second innings of the first Test in Adelaide. cricket.com.au. tweeted – All out for 36. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy begins on Thursday.

Nevertheless, CA’s decision was not met positively by a number of Indian supporters, among them former cricketer Aakash Chopra, who recalled India’s victory in the series with a 2-1 scoreline. Many backlashed over a social media comment war mentioning the stint was not funny. Some even mocked the Australian media for their atrocious actions. 

India and Australia are set to contend for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, beginning with the initial Test of the four-match series on Thursday in Nagpur. It has been 16 years since the start of the trophy, with India having won 9 and Australia 5 of the 15 series concluded thus far. Additionally, one ended in a draw. It has been 16 years since Australia last won a Test series in India. India, however, has been successful on their last two trips to the nation and will be aiming to keep up their superiority.
