In the final over, Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) Kagiso Rabada got run out, leading to a heartbreaking loss by nine runs against Mumbai Indians (MI). Their IPL 2024 match at Mullanpur saw a dramatic finish.

Punjab needed 12 runs from the last over with Kagiso Rabada and Harshal Patel at the crease. MI bowler Akash Madhwal attempted a wide yorker on the offside and delivered a wide on the first ball.

He tried again with the following ball and succeeded. Rabada could only push the ball to the deep point zone, so he elected to return for a second run. It soon proved to be a mistake, as wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan removed the bails just as Kagiso Rabada joined the crease.
