Pat Cummins’ SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 36 runs in IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 at Chepauk on Friday, May 24. With the victory, the SunrRsers secured their spot in the IPL 2024 final. SRH, the IPL 2016 victors, will next face two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a rematch of Qualifier 1 in the summit showdown on Sunday.
Pat Cummins is all set to hit the cricket field for his third mega final within the last year. This 31yearold dynamo not only steered Australia to triumph in both the ICC World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup last year but is now geared up to steer the SunRisers Hyderabad towards their second IPL trophy despite their lackluster performance in the IPL 2023 points table.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins was overjoyed to lead his club to the IPL 2024 final following their victory against the Rajasthan Royals. He said on the post-match show:
“The boys have been fantastic all season. There’s a great vibe in the squad as you can see and the final was the goal at the start of the season and we made it.”
“We knew our strength was our batting and we wouldn’t underestimate the experience we have in this squad, it’s a dream, having Bhuvi, Nattu, and Unadkat, makes my job easy.”

Cummins also praised Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma for their match-winning bowling heroics, claiming three and two wickets, respectively. He said:
