In a video posted on his YouTube account, Aakash Chopra identified Rahul as the first Lucknow Super Giants player to watch in Friday’s game.

“Let’s focus on KL Rahul. I don’t think he will rest himself, he is the captain. He has scored a lot of runs at Wankhede and against Mumbai. So this is his favorite team. It’s also like a broken record whenever I talk about Lucknow that he is the only Indian batter scoring runs.”

“So it’s the same story although this hasn’t been the season KL Rahul usually has. He generally has a 600-run season and he is very far from 600 currently. He might not be able to reach there. KL Rahul will be my first player to watch out for.”

Rahul has 465 runs 136.36 strike rate in 13 innings in IPL 2024. He scored a 22-ball 28 in LSG’s home game versus MI and will look to play a bigger role in his last game of the season.

Aakash Chopra personally singled out Nicholas Pooran as a standout player to watch for in the Lucknow Super Giants squad against the Mumbai Indians.

“My second player will be Nicholas Pooran because, on this small ground, Nicholas Pooran can do the job you expect him to do, like he was doing in the last match. When he came to bat, it seemed like he wanted to hit a six off every ball. However, he scored runs in the end. If he gets going, then there is no stopping.”

“The third player is Mohsin Khan. He has pace and bounce, and this pitch has help for fast bowlers. If I remember correctly, he was part of Mumbai earlier. Then he remained injured, Mumbai left him, and he went to Lucknow. I am expecting him to play and actually do well.”

Mohsin has nine wickets in 34 overs at a 10.00 economy rate in the IPL 2024. Only Naveen-ul-Haq (12) and Yash Thakur (11) have taken more LSG wickets this season.
