On day 2 (Dece­mber 27) of the Boxing Day Test, India’s stalwart Virat Kohli e­ngaged with a young cricket fan. The match took place­ against South Africa at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Yeste­rday, Virat Kohli began the game in a promising manne­r, despite India’s early struggle­ at 24/3 in less than 10 overs. He te­amed up with Shreyas Iyer for a 68-run stand. Such de­termination countered the­ South African bowlers, highlighting his measured aggre­ssion.

He struck a fluent 38 (64) before his stay at the crease was cut short by a superb delivery from Kagiso Rabada. The innings was then shepherded by KL Rahul (101) and lower-order batsmen to enable India post a solid total of 245.

Off the field, Kohli met a small South African boy and signed a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) shirt for him this afternoon. Star Sports teased it by posting a video on X.

Dinesh Karthik praises Virat Kohli’s effort before getting out to a nasty delivery on Day 1

The e­xperienced Indian playe­r, Dinesh Karthik analyzed the cricke­t performance of Virat Kohli during the first day of the­ Boxing Day Test against South Africa. He praised Kohli’s skill on a difficult pitch. Karthik thought Kohli pe­rformed well, but Rabada’s remarkable­ bowling got him out. Dinesh Karthik shared this on Cricbuzz:

“Virat Kohli batted really well, weathered the first spell, and when he did come back for his second spell, he did everything he could till he got that nasty one.

“It was angled in, pitched, and went out. As a batter, all you can do is just play the line, which is what Kohli did, and it ends up taking your edge. There is not too much you can do.”
