The Indian No. 3 Virat Kohli, who plays also for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) stated that he truly enjoys IPL as the tournament provides an opportunity to chat, share camaraderie and make many new friends. He said it is just another addition to the many successes of IPL, because of its ‘connect’ to players and fans.

A 35-year-old man also skips current IInd vs Eng series just to be with his wife for a birth of their 2nd child. He will get his comeback stint during this year’s IPL edition, which is going to be conducted between March 22 to April 19. I 2024 IPL edition is all set to start with the match between the two formidable teams –Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and RCB at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, in Chennai.

Virat Kohli, while talking, state­d how different the IPL is from ICC e­vents. He pointed out in ICC e­vents, players from various countries don’t inte­ract much. But in IPL, it’s the opposite.

“You do play all your tournaments which is one team versus another. ICC tournaments come every now and then, but even in ICC tournaments, you don’t interact with other players or see the other team, so often.”

“But in IPL, you’re probably meeting every team just every second or third day, and that’s the beauty of IPL. You are playing in different conditions in a different city with a different team. Everybody has a different kind of determination at various stages of the tournament and such magical moments are being created.”

Virat Kohli had a successful IPL 2023 season, scoring 639 runs in 14 innings at an average of 53.25 and a strike rate of 139.82, including two hundreds and six fifties.
