At the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by six wickets in an exciting last-over finish on Sunday, April 30. MI are seventh in the IPL points standings, while RR are second.
When RR batted first, they scored a whopping 212/7 in 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal (124 runs off 62 balls) achieved a brilliant century for the visitors. MI’s pick of bowlers was Arshad Khan (3-0-39-3) and Piyush Chawla (4-0-34-2).

On that point, these are the three highest run chases at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

MI needed 17 runs off the last over with Tim David and Tilak Varma at the bat, chasing a difficult total of 213 at the Wankhede Stadium. Tim David hit three consecutive sixes in the last over against Jason Holder to secure the victory for his team

The first six came from a low wide full delivery that was muscled over long off, while the final two sixes were slogs over deep mid-wicket.

Shikhar Dhawan (92 runs off 49 balls) spearheaded DC’s effort in chasing a massive total of 196 at Wankhede Stadium. ‘Gabbar’ appeared to be on his way to a well-deserved hundred.

Dhawan was well-supported by Prithvi Shaw (32 runs off 17 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (27* runs off 13 balls). DC completed the chase with six wickets and 10 balls to spare.

Wriddhiman Saha (68 runs off 38 balls), who produced a magnificent half-century as GT chased 196 at the Wankhede Stadium, created a good platform. However, GT faltered in the middle-overs.

Rahul Tewatia (40* runs off 21 balls) and Rashid Khan (31* runs off 11 balls) won the match. However, the game was filled with suspense as 21 points were needed off the final over. Rashid Khan hit four sixes off Marco Jansen’s final over, including one off the final ball when GT needed three runs to win.
