Shah Rukh has reportedly extended an openended offer to Gambhir urging him to continue serving as KKRs mentor with a blank check in hand. This interesting development coincides with the BCCIs announcement of an upcoming vacancy for Indias head coach post the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Rahul Dravid’s chapter as the head coach is slated to draw to a close following the upcoming ICC event in July. Should he choose to the iconic sportsman can reenter the race for the position provided he commits to a term of no less than 3.5 years.

Gautam Gambhir recently praised Shah Rukh Khan, KKR’s co-owner, during the ongoing IPL 2024 season. The 42-year-old described Shah Rukh as the finest owner and highlighted some of his unique attributes. Gambhir explained to Sportskeeda:
“I’ve said it numerous times I think he is the best owner I’ve worked with. It’s not because I’m now part of KKR or I was part of KKR. I don’t think so in seven years of me captaining KKR we have had a cricketing conversation even for seven minutes.”

“Imagine someone, as an owner who himself has been such a big achiever, not even talking about cricket or asking you a single thing about your decision making. I’m not saying I made all the right decisions. But he never questioned my decisions, that’s the trust he had in me.”
